GE's unique optical mirror technology gives you the advantages of both step and gliding focus in what is known as a hybrid system. The mirror segments combine to create a continuous curtain, by allowing the focal point to 'glide' from a short focal length (undercrawl) to a long one (long range) as the object travels from top to bottom of the mirror. The result is that the sensor never loses track of the object.
